Fabulous restaurant. We had the lunch menu and it is worth every penny. Well deserved 2 Michelin stars. I highly recommend booking a table.
Only downside: glass of wine a bit expensive. Oh and it is 2016, stop giving menus without prices to ladies.
It is something of a surprise to find a Michelin starred restaurant in the depths of Finistère. The decor is modern and rather cold but we had a table by the bay window overlooking the coast in the distance. Our meal was beautifully presented and quite delicious and the accompanying amuse-bouches and breads were a delight. The menu was a little limited, with pigeon breast the only option for meat eaters and the emphasis on crustaceans and fish which is hardly surprising. Two gripes: asked for a recommendation for a bottle of Chinon (we’re not white wine drinkers) the waitress unhesitatingly chose the most expensive bottle of the four offered without any particular arguments and, when we asked for coffee, we were presented with a list of Nespresso capsules. Considering the quality of the meal, I thought it petty not to make more effort and, at 8€ for a 35 cent capsule, it was a more than a little incongruous.
These details could and should be corrected. The overall experience is close to excellence but needs a final touch of polish.
We paid 400€ for two including wine.
A thrilling and exciting experience. Good value for money and a very friendly staff. I absolutely recommend !!!
We just ordered the buissenes lunch, which sadly wasn't that good. In my opinion everything was a bit borring.
Superb, tricky/complicated to book though
Thursday October 19, 2023. Came for lunch with my partner. I finally understood the expression "culinary experience" we tasted extraordinary dishes, perfect service, professional but which put at ease people like us who are not used to this type of establishment. A competent and very friendly sommelier. A very pleasant boss. We're going to come back.
We just have to say wow!!!!😍😍 by its presentations, its tastes and an extraordinary service, knowledge of all the dishes as well as the feeling of flavors thank you to you Madam you do a very beautiful job that you share with passion. Thanks also to the sommelier, service, reception and kitchen staff who do a remarkable job. We will return and highly recommend. All the best
2 stars really?? We went last Thursday afternoon to celebrate my daughter's birthday in this restaurant.
Yes, the setting is pleasant, even if you only see the sea from afar and the service is discreet and attentive.
But we expected much better in terms of flavors and presentations.
The stopover menu, at €100 only for lunch, was to offer us, among other things, langoustine with creamy black pudding and crispy pig's trotters. We had ONE scallop topped with a thin slice of "sausage" with carrot coulis. Surprised (frankly disappointed!) we asked the waiter: “the chef wanted to surprise you with the first Brest shells” (Would you have believed it? We didn’t!!)
As for the famous foie gras-velouté lobster soup, served in a simple cup, we found it rather disgusting.
Only the appetizers and the dessert, lemon crisp, strawberries and lettuce ice cream really pleased us.
As for drinks, the Beaujolais from 2020 at €70 was very good. The coffee is actually a ristretto of a few cl and costs €9.
To sum up: "meh", really disappointing value for money.
